St. John the Apostle / St.Bernadette Parish

Mission Statement

Our Catholic Parish is a community of faith with mutual respect and support for one another. We worship God in the Roman Catholic tradition. We rely on the Holy Spirit and are called both as community and individuals to develop and proclaim our faith and beliefs as part of the Mystical Body of Christ. We welcome a diverse population, attend to the needs of the poor and disadvantaged, and promote justice and peace for all God's people.

Pastor - Rev. Michael P. Darcy

Rebecca Fuzy was the recipient of the St. Timothy Award for St. Bernadette’s at the 10th Annual CYM Awards in Dover on May 6th. This award it the highest recognition from the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry that a diocese confers on a junior or senior high school student. It is given to honor one who lives as a disciple of Christ, sets a positive example for other youth, witnesses to their faith by exhibiting Catholic morals and integrity, demonstrates Gospel values through service to others and exhibits Christian leadership in parish, school and/or community settings. On that same evening Jeannette Minner received the Companion on the Journey Award for Catechesis given by the NFCYM for her many years of faithful service to our community.

Congratulations to you both!

Bishop Malooly with Father Darcy on    August 10, 2014 in the St. Bernadette Hall.
